Not one but two spring concerts to kick start our 60th anniversary year!

This April, we’re performing two concerts to mark the start of our diamond jubilee year – 60 years of Gilbert and Sullivan at Christchurch! We start things off with or Diamond Jubilee concert in our home – Christchurch Methodist Church – on Saturday 12th April.

At the end of the month we are welcomed back by St Mary’s Church in Wymeswold for an evening of G&S music and traditional songs.

Tickets for both concerts are on sale now and strictly limited!

Visit our ‘Upcoming’ page for more details.

Shepshed Lions Charity Carnival

We’re having a stall at Shepshed Lion’s annual Charity Carnival on Monday 26th August 2024. Come along and say hello and have a go at winning one of our jam jars full of prizes. We’ll also have flyers and booking forms for our upcoming production of Patience.

The carnival takes place in Glenmore Park in Shepshed from 12-4pm. There is a small entry fee.

Back in rehearsals

After a well earned winter break, it was lovely to be back in the rehearsal room this week for our first concert rehearsal. And we were sounding in fine voice!

Our concert sub-committee has pulled together a beautiful programme of music under the title ‘Love is in the Air’! It includes plenty of Gilbert and Sullivan numbers as well as songs from well-known musicals.

The concert will be at Christchurch Methodist on Saturday 20th April and tickets are on sale now.

New Musical Director

We are delighted to announce that Mary Jayne Harding Scott will be joining us as our new Musical Director for our spring concert. Mary Jane has a wealth of G&S experience gained from her time with Leicester G&S and a student G&S society during her time at university.
